The Price of Love

How much would you pay for a chance to find someone special?  Having been single for almost 4 years now (ugh), I can say that the price I am willing to pay is increasing.  I hate to admit this, but I recently looked into eharmony.com.  All of the commercials that pop up around valentine's day managed to convince me that I needed to see what the whole online dating thing is all about.  I figured the real-world thing isn't working for me, so why not try online dating?  Well, here is why: $60/month!  If you sign up for a single month, you are charged $60.  If you sign up for 3 months, you are only charged $40/month.  All I can say is wow.  I don't mean to sound cheap, but as a guy I am expected to pay the monthly fee for the service AND (most likely) the cost of any dates the service might produce.  Needless to say, I decided not to sign up... for now.
