Snow Day

I hate to say it, but I don't get excited anymore when I hear snow in the forecast.  No longer am I in a hurry to get in my snow suit and go outside to play. I don't own a sled and there isn't a snowman outside the house to greet people.  All I can think about is how it will affect my commute to work and school.  I wonder how much of this is from living in the city and how is a sign of age.  I'm guessing more a sign of age.

Today was a little different.  I wanted to have lots of snow.   I wanted to go outside and play in it.  I was excited when they were calling for 5 to 7 inches of snow.  I worked from home and UMBC canceled class, so I didn't have to worry about the commute.  So, did I go outside and play?  No.  Sadly, I stayed in.  I fell asleep for a nap that lasted longer than the sun.  Perhaps another sign of age.
