Tweet Tweet

I am now a twitter user.  For the longest time I couldn't understand why poeple used twitter.  I didn't see the point of broadcasting 140 character (max) messages to anyone who would be bored enough to read them.  I also didn't see how twitter differs from the facebook status functionality --in a way it doesn't, but there is more to twitter than status updates.

This is what I think is great about twitter.  It allows me to tell the world that I am hungry, but it also allows me to ramble on (for 140 characters) about train stations being uninteresting.  I can also follow other twitter users and read their 'tweets' in just a few seconds.

I have to say that I am hooked.  Microblogging is more my style.  I prefer typing many short bursts of information than writing longer blog posts.  No worries though, I'll still try to keep posting here.
